Quick One

You know how I was promising a real update soon? Yeah, this isn't it. My life has gone into serious overdrive lately, and I'm smack in the middle of it. During a period of about 3 weeks I have the following on my plate: a 5k, a big fund-raising banquet for our ministry, a conference in PA for which I was leading worship, a stack of 60 entries to judge for a creative writing contest, a 3 1/2 hour set at the Tea Bar, and finally (and this is the kicker) our church's Easter service, which I agreed to coordinate.

Plus, you know, running a household, which we've already established is not my strong point.

The 5k, banquet, and conference are now done. The rest is still going full throttle.

My list is going to have to wait a bit.

BUT...I wanted to post here quickly to say two things:

1. I haven't forgotten about this blog. I started training in a pool this morning, looking ahead to a triathlon, and it's killing me that I can't write about that. And more.
2. If you're in the area and would like to come by and say hi, I'll be playing and singing at the Tea Bar at 1636 Palisade Ave in Fort Lee this Saturday night from 7:30-11. I should be easy to find...I'll be the one at the keyboard, probably with my eyes closed, wailing along to some cheesy song that I adore. (OK, they're not ALL cheesy. Just the best ones.)
